Indication on Teusday was that the report by an industry publication that the spokesman and Head, Corporate Communications of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Philip Kyanet, has resigned his appointment with the agency was not true afterall.

Our correspondent who was at the NIMASA headquaters on Tuesday to verify the authenticity of story confirmed that Mr. Kyanet was at his duty post performing his functions dutifully.

Mr Kyanet elected to maintain a dignified silence over the false report, he noted that he was rudely shock by the report, more especially as the publishers of the unverified story have unhindered access to him and the management of the Agency to confirm the report before going to press.
