BREAKING: First Bank branches fully opened in South East

Nigeria’s multinational bank and financial services institution, First Bank, has dismissed reports that it has shut down all its branches in the South East of Nigeria.

The bank said that its branches were “fully open for business” urging customers to disregard to the reports making the rounds on social media.

Some elements had claimed that the bank shut down its operations in the South East because of the growing tension in the region.

In a message on its official Twitter account, First Bank said, “This is to inform the public that our South East branches are fully open for business.

“Please disregard any news making the rounds that is contrary to this,” First Bank added.
