However, John Okoli of Sporting Saif football club has set his eyes on scoring more goals when the league resumes.

The young Nigerian striker who has scored 13 goals so far this season from just 16 appearances is confident of scoring more.

The 23-year old former Messiah football club of Lagos player is dread by defenders in Bangladesh Premier league, (BPL).

Speaking ahead of the commencement of the league, John Okoli stated that he is ready to continue where he stopped before the league break with target to score more goals.

He said the team is training and working hard to finish the season on the high.

“We are currently in 6th position on the table, but we feel we can do better by working harder to move up and finished in a position our supporters and management will be proud of,” he disclosed.

Okoli who has another Nigerian in his team, Kenneth Ikechukwu another striker who himself has contributed 5 goals this season is confident of finishing the season as the top scorer.

“I want to help my team to finish very well at the end of the season, hence for this reason I have to score as many goals as possible because that is my job in the team, so scoring more goals can lead me to top scorer’s chart because I already have 13 goals and in third place on the chart,” Okoli concluded.
