  • Set to energize Athletes with Bigi brands

 

As the excitement of the Bigi drinks’ sponsored Nigerian Idol, still lingers, Rite Foods is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Ijebu Heritage Half Marathon which will be held on July 17.

The event, which is a 21-kilometer race, will start from the newly constructed Epe-Ijebu road and will end at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium. The international event, sponsored by Rite Foods is aimed at encouraging the youths in sport participation and engaging them with the freshness and delightful taste of Bigi Table Water, as well as other Bigi brands, that will be available at the six water points every 2.5 kilometers of the race.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods Limited, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, the race will open grand opportunities for youths in Ijebuland, the country, and other parts of the globe to showcase their skills in the long-distance race and also position the company as an innovative brand that promotes worthy initiatives.

As the market leader in the food and beverage sector of the economy, the world-class company will energize participating athletes with its Bigi Table Water during the athletic event. The brand which is produced with global best practices in purification offers quality, freshness, confidence, and reliability.

Speaking on the sporting event, initiated by the Ogun State Government, the State’s Commissioner for Youth & Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, enjoined all participants to take part in the race in the spirit of friendship. He admonished them to adhere to laid down health rules and safety standards during the race.

He said athletes participating in the race include male marathoners such as Kenya’s Bernard Sang who was first at the 2020 Istanbul Marathon, Hosea Chirchir Kiplimo, Rhonzas Lokitam, Kilimo, Eliud Mewangi, Sammy Nyokaye, John Muriuri Mburi, William Amponsah, Titus Kipruto Kibiego, and Paul Korch.

Others are Uganda’s Ezekiel Chepkoromk and Azerbaijan’s Desta Fitsun Weldu.

The female participants include Shila Jepkosgei, who is a World Athletics gold-label runner, Ghana’s Juliana Lariba Sakat, Kenya’s Gladys Jepkemoi Chemweno, Caern Jebet Maiyo, Ruth Karanja, Susy Chebet Chemaimak, and Hannah Wanjiru Gatheru, Also on the list is Uganda’s Racheal Zena Chebet, and Bahrain’s Damaris Muthee Mutua.

Other Bigi variants that will be available at the water points include the Bigi Cola, Bigi Orange, Bigi Apple, Bigi Bitter Lemon, Bigi Soda Water, Bigi Lemon & Lime, and Bigi Tropical.

The rest are Bigi Chapman, Bigi Tamarind, Bigi Cherry Cola, Bigi Ginger Lemon, and Bigi Ginger Ale, as well as Rite Foods’ Fearless Redberry, Fearless Classic Energy Drinks, Rite Spicy, Bigi Beef Sausage roll, and Rite Sausage roll.
