D’Tigress are one step closer to qualifying for FIBA Women World Cup

Nigeria senior female basketball team- D’Tigrees gets closer to qualifying for the FIBAWWC with one game to spare after defeating France for the first time in their history to go second in their group behind China.

D’Tigress lost the first quarter 11 – 28 but took the second quarter 16 – 10.

The Nigerian senior female team became bullish and dominated the paint as Victoria Macaulay shoots better 3s than Russell Westbrook and Ben Simmon.

The game ended in a close combat with Team Nigeria securing 67 points to emerge victorious against Team France who cupped 65 points.

With the performance the D’Tigress are seen as Queen of Africa on a quest to conquer the world and also breaking into the top 10 world ranking as number 15th in the world just dispatch number 5th.

D’Tigress now faces fellow African contingents Mali in their last group stage fixture scheduled for Saturday, February 12, 2022.

Victory against Mali will automatically seal a spot for D’Tigress at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Australia later this year.
