Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently meeting with governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his Aguda residence in Abuja.

Sources close to the office of the Vice President hinted Osinbajo would use the occasion to consult with the Governors on his rumoured presidential ambition.

The source said, “APC governors are arriving the residence of the Vice President for a crucial meeting ahead of his planned decision to declare for 2023.

“At the meeting, Prof Osinbajo is expected to inform the APC governors of his decision to run for President in 2023 on the platform of the APC.

The meeting with the governors is part of the consultations that the Vice President has made as he seeks to succeed his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to another source close to the meeting, Prof Osinbajo will formally declare on Monday.

He will address Nigerians via a video presentation and not at a gathering.
