Nothing is black or white in Diiche, and the fourth episode of Showmax’s Nigerian original limited series further proved this fact.

The episode unearthed a trove of deep secrets as the plot gets more intense. First, the astonishing secret affair between Diiche’s manager and best friend, Esosa, and her late fiance, Nnamdi.

It turned out that her best friend had been sleeping with Nnamdi, and they had planned to run away. Little wonder she tried to steal his gadgets to cover up her tracks.

Alongside the affair discovery, the inspectors had a field day getting all the tea from the other suspects, Jimi, Diiche and G-Money, during which G-Money had a  flashback that revealed Nnamdi might have been responsible for someone’s murder. Could Nnamdi’s death have been a case of ‘live by the gun, die by the gun’?

The plot thickens when the investigators discover 50 million naira in the late filmmaker’s account that is somehow traceable to Diiche’s mother, opening another can of questions.

How in the world of twists did Kessandu Anyanwu get involved in this money part? Did she pay Nnamdi to marry her daughter? Is she the masked person behind his death? To make things more intriguing, she knew about Nnamdi’s affair but kept quiet about it. Why?

Kessandu has a lot of explaining to do, but it might not be to her daughter as Diiche independently learned of Nnamdi’s affair with Esosa, leaving her devastated. Or is she? It’s hard to decipher Diiche’s weird behaviour lately.

The episode ends with a flashback of Diiche’s last fight with Nnamdi. A mysterious voice calls her from the ocean, and someone or something pulls her towards the sea. What connection does she have with the waters?

Does Diiche have a spirit husband? Most importantly, who killed Nnamdi?

The investigation continues in the fifth episode as it drops next Thursday. Sign up on www.showmax.com for as low as ₦1,200 to enjoy this intriguing series.
