Like new friends, it was fun meeting Flawsome’s leading ladies, Ifeyinwa, Ivie, Ramat, and Dolapo in the first episode of Showmax’s new original and watching them glow in their friendship turned sisterhood.

They’ve given us a lot of relatable moments through their struggles with life, careers, and striving against misogyny. The second and third episodes of the Showmax original series have been quite enlightening.

Here are some key relatable moments from the last two episodes:

  1. It’s a man’s world… if you let it be

So far, three of the ladies have an issue with at least one man trying to take over her world. For PR guru, Dolapo, it’s Ranti. Ifeyinwa has to deal with her CEO position usurper, Timi Douglas and for Ivie, it’s her annoying boyfriend, Poju and wannabe lover, Tersei.

Apart from sharing a sisterhood, the ladies also share an iron will of not letting men take over their worlds and lives. It’s as strong as their resolve to always be friends turned sister and if that isn’t motivation, I don’t know what it is.

  1. Would you tell her?

There are more answers to one question and that includes the age-old one of telling your best friend about finding her husband or boyfriend with an ex, a position we don’t envy Dolapo for.

Dolapo, the PR guru and unofficial eyes and ears of the group, is currently in a state of confusion between telling Ramat that she saw her husband, Uduak, with his ex or leaving her in a happy bliss of faith in him.

What would you do if you were in her shoes? Tell Ramat or keep your lips sealed?

  1. Revenge is a dish best served cold

If you’ve been following Flawsome, it’s only fair to admit that Ranti has been a pain in Dolapo’s back and deserves whatever is coming his way in the next episode.

Well, nothing says “revenge served best served cold” more than using your enemy’s mole against him and that’s exactly what Dolapo has in store for the journalist. Ranti has no idea the Pandora box he is about to open with the “exclusive false news” about Senator Jubril.

Lesson 101: Never mess with a boss-lady!

  1. On horrible bosses

This is a can of worms we will keep opening until lessons are learnt. Imagine signing up as an intern, only to realise you must resume work at 8 am, and close at 8 pm, while serving as your boss P. A slash errand girl.

Ivie’s fashion boss, Lerato, is enough to give an intern a lifetime of mental health issues. At this point, only heaven knows who has a larger share in Ivie’s problems between Lerato and Poju.

  1. Never date a man you can’t defend his job

Speaking of Ivie’s boyfriend, Poju, if there are not enough red flags about him, the fact that she can’t defend what he does screams trouble more than a white sheet soaked in theatrical blood. Ahan! It’s too much.

At this point, we are looking forward to who Ivie will cut out of her life first, between him and Lerato.

As a burgeoning fan of Flawsome, there’s a lot to look forward to in episode 4 coming out on Thursday, December 1. To be a part of the drama, subscribe from as low as #1,200 on www.showmax.com.
