Qwest TV, founded in 2017 by legendary musical genius Quincy Jones and TV and music producer and programmer Reza Ackbaraly, intends to bring genre-agnostic music content to the African continent.

From the great legends of the past to the bright stars of today, emerging talents, exclusive live streams, and fascinating interviews and documentaries, Qwest TV promises a compelling blend of musical content for her viewers.

“We are excited to be part of the MultiChoice family and to launch Qwest TV to the African market. We are expanding our mission to offer high-end music to everyone. Africa is a land of traditions and music, and we are glad to build such a great partnership on this gorgeous continent!,” says CEO Reza Ackbaraly.

“I am so proud to announce that Qwest TV is now available on MultiChoice, Africa’s leading entertainment network. From African legends proudly proclaiming their heritage to jazz, classical, electronic and amazing deep-dive music documentaries, Africa is the source of music’s heartbeat and the cradle of modern music. I am looking forward to celebrating diverse sounds with everyone”, explains Quincy Jones, Qwest TV Co-founder and legendary music producer.

With the core focus of expanding the content offering for viewers through partnerships, Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, Multichoice Nigeria, emphasizes the importance of ensuring a one-stop shop for quality entertainment.

“The channel continues on our journey of continued re-imagination, innovation, and repositioning of the past and present to win an even better future in the music industry. The channel perfectly complements our Premium and Compact Plus package offerings”, says Tejumola.

Qwest TV is available now on DStv Premium and Compact Plus at Ch. 330. For more information about this new channel, visit www.dstvnigeria.com/  You can also download the DStvApp for self-service options.
