The contender for the Guinness World Record for longest cooking hours by an individual, Hilda Baci, has revealed that she has been unable to sleep since she completed the 100 hours cooking challenge she had set out to achieve on Monday.
On a live Instagram session, she held on her verified Instagram page, Friday night, Baci said “I am unable to sleep. I don’t know what to do.”
Nonetheless, she was full of thanks to her supporters promising them that she will stop cooking.
The 27-year-old entrepreneur and actress also couldn’t hide her surprise at the outpour of support from all quarters and also from government officials. “I spoke to the vice president, my governor, I don’t think you people understand how this thing is doing me. I just want to say thank you. That’s all I have I am so grateful to you guys.”
The chef, from Akwa Ibom, had sent out to beat the current world record holder for longest cooking marathon by an individual held by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon. Tondon cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in 2019.
Baci had set out to cook for 96 hours but bravely added on extra four hours.
She completed the task on Monday, 15 May however, officials of the Guinness World Record are yet to give her the recognition stating that “Our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to be able to verify Hilda’s efforts as a new record very soon.”
