World-renowned single malt Scotch whisky brand, The Macallan, held an unprecedented coffee-whisky pairing ritual on Thursday, July 20, 2023, launching The Harmony Collection Inspired by Intense Arabica to the delight of guests at the exquisite KOI Restaurant & Lounge, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Bearing testament to the innovation and creativity behind the collection, five coffee masters collaborated with The Macallan Whisky Maker, Steven Bremmer, lending their knowledge, creativity, and passion to bring the expression to life. The Macallan Harmony Collection also explores the brand’s future packaging journey, featuring distinctive packaging made from repurposed and recycled materials, including discarded coffee bean husks.
The Macallan showcased the harmonious blend of its ultra-premium whisky and the distinct character of fine coffee. Guests were first treated to an evening of cocktails and canapes while taking in the first-hand engagement of the variety of coffee beans. At the high point, a coffee-whisky pairing ritual, expertly whipped by dedicated baristas at Happy Coffee, took guests through the many flavourful possibilities of merging two distinct worlds together — the distinct worlds of whisky and coffee.
