Burna Boy, the Afro-fusion singer, has taken a swipe at Brymo after the latter had accused the former of copyright infringement.

In August, Burna Boy released his seventh album titled ‘I Told Them’.

‘City Boys’, a hit song off the singer’s 15-track project, has continued to enjoy global success.

But on October 25, Brymo claimed that the album title and the hit track “were fed to Burna Boy”.

He also argued that the ‘Last Last’ hitmaker “stole” from his upcoming album titled ‘Macabre’.

“By the end of this year you all will recollect that ‘Macabre’ was not released when in the public, and as privately as it gets ‘City Boy’ and ‘I Told You’ were fed to Burna Boy,” he had said.

“Former of the track titles I mentioned above is there to point me to the fact that the latter, and his album title is the hook I sing on my album title track ‘Macabre’.

“Burna is really a boy. And that is a crime, an actual crime… to do time for. And if you like you can resurrect legends to come complain about stolen songs. You will regret this shit to numerous degrees.”

Last month, he had also described Burna Boy as an artiste who “lacks originality in his music”.

But in a recent freestyle shared via his Instagram page, Burna Boy taunted Brymo, while referring to his career as a “failure”.

He also advised his fans to work hard so they do not “fall off like Brymo”.

“Hustle hard make you no fall off like Brymo,” he sings.

The video has sparked controversy among Nigerian music lovers on social media.

Reacting to the now-viral video on X, Brymo said the Afro-fusion singer is a “foolish boy with all these talentless lyrics”.
