2. The Theory of Breakfast: This show will leave you questioning whether or not it’s about food or the Nigerian slang, “breakfast”. The Theory of Breakfast serves viewers with forbidden romance and unexpected twists. Ebitimi and Laolu, lifelong friends, get entangled in emotions when an engagement and wedding plans go wrong. With secret breakups and family drama, they must face their buried feelings as they resurface. Can they navigate the complexities of love and friendship, or will their breakfast table become a battleground of heartbreak? Tune in every Monday and Tuesday at 9 pm on Africa Magic Showcase to uncover the answer!

3. Nwunye Bekee: If you’re an indigenous show lover, Africa Magic’s docu-series “Nwunye Bekee” has you covered! The show focuses on Igbo men married to non-Nigerian women. It sheds light on their love stories, cultural fusion, and daily hurdles. Nwunye Bekee introduces us to wives of Igbo men living abroad. These “Oyibo wives” seamlessly blend their husbands’ culture into their lives, learning the language, embracing traditions, and savouring traditional dishes. In one episode, Gordana Osuji Okpara even prepares Oha soup in Switzerland after shopping for ingredients at an African store. This heartwarming series showcases the beautiful lengths love can take us, and we all love to see it. Tune in to “Nwunye Bekee” on  Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 PM on Africa Magic Igbo (DStv ch. 159 and GOtv ch. 4).

4. Beautiful Scar: The film centres around the life of a successful actor who must find a reason to live and embrace life after suffering from an accident that leaves an ugly scar on his face. It stars Frederick Leonard, Temitope Olowoniyan, Lilian Esoro, Tayo Faniran, Olu Adebamiwo, and others. Watch “Beautiful Scar” on Africa Magic Showcase on Wednesday,  February 14, at 4:10 pm.

5. Stranger I know: Janet, an upcoming actor, lands her first lead role in a big-budget Nollywood movie, moves to Lagos and falls in love with Jonathan, her short-let landlord she just met. Toyin Abraham, Bimbo Akintola, and Akin Lewis star in this new romantic comedy movie. Follow Janet and Jonathan’s love story on Africa Magic Showcase on Saturday, February 17, at 4 pm.

6. Finding Hubby: The film follows the adventures of 35-year-old Oyin Clegg and her friends, Toke and Gloria, as they kiss many frogs in a quest for their prince. In the process, they ask important questions about their friendship, love, and life. The big question is – are they finding hubby or finding happiness? It stars Ade Laoye, Charles Etuebi, Damilola Ogunsi, Efa Iwara, Kehinde Bankole, Munachi Abii, Omowunmi Dada, and Tope Tedela. Catch the adventures of Oyin Clegg on Africa Magic Showcase on Saturday, February 17, at 7 pm.

7. Razz Guy: Temi Johnson (Lasisi Elenu), a rude and condescending senior executive, receives an international business merger assignment at his company. However, he can’t work on the task after speaking rudely to a  staff member who curses him. The charm causes him to get dumb and speak only ‘razzly’. Lasisi Elenu, Nancy Isime, Omotunde David, and Shalewa Ashafa take on roles in this hilarious yet educational movie. Watch The Razz Guy on Africa Magic Showmax on Sunday, February 18,  at 7 pm.

Enjoy all these films in a quiet Valentine’s Day event featuring yourself, loved ones, some popcorn, drinks and your DStv remote. Catch up on past and new episodes of Man Friend, Nwunye Beke, and The Theory of Breakfast to immerse yourself in the love season via the DStv Stream App at no additional cost. The App is available for download from the Apple and Google Play stores.
