British-Nigerian business leader, Bolaji Sofoluwe, has been awarded the prestigious Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in recognition of her exceptional contributions to sustainable business growth, female entrepreneurship, and international trade.
This honor, announced as part of the 2024 New Year’s Honours List, celebrates Sofoluwe’s tireless work in connecting businesses across the UK and Africa.
As the co-founder and Managing Director of ETK Group Ltd, Sofoluwe has spearheaded the expansion of market opportunities for businesses across 32 African countries, managing trade and investment worth over £1 billion in just 14 years. With a focus on sectors such as aviation, health tech, and agriculture, her leadership has driven global connections and positive change.
A passionate advocate for female entrepreneurship, Sofoluwe’s work also includes mentoring women-owned businesses and supporting young innovators. Her dedication to giving back extends to mentoring through the Global Youth Innovators Programme and coaching on the Mandela Mile.
