The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has placed a six-month flight restriction on popular fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Omogbolahan, widely known as K1 De Ultimate, over an incident involving a breach of airport security.
As a result, he will not be permitted to travel by air within Nigerian airports for the next six months.
A preliminary report from another aviation body, the Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, accused the musician of carrying spilling alcohol onto airport security personnel and the pilot of ValueJet Airlines, who then denied him boarding.
In response, K1 issued a statement asserting that the contents of his flask were “a plain water” and not “alcohol” as claimed by FAAN.
