Abia politician Emeka Ufomba declared wanted by EFCC over alleged fraud

Abia State politician Emeka Ufomba, has been declared wanted  by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged diversion of public funds and money laundering.

The anti-graft agency made it known on Wednesday in an official notice shared by Dele Oyewale, its Head of Media & Publicity.

This move marks the latest in a series of investigations by the EFCC targeting individuals from Abia State in connection with alleged financial misconduct involving government resources.

In the statement, the Commission informed the public that:“Emeka Ufomba, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of Criminal Conspiracy, Diversion of Public Funds, Stealing, and Money Laundering.”

Ufomba, 49, is reportedly an indigene of Abia State. His last known address is 13 Unity Drive, Eneka Paradise Estate, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The EFCC urged anyone with credible information on Ufomba’s whereabouts to contact any of its zonal offices in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja. They may also reach the agency via 08093322644, info@efcc.gov.ng or report to the nearest police station or relevant security agency.

As of the time of publication, the EFCC has not released further information regarding the specifics of the allegations or the scope of the investigation.
