Controversial Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe is mourning the loss of her mother.

The news was announced by the actress on Wednesday via her Instagram page, where she posted an image of a candlelight against a broken-heart background with the caption: “R.I.P Mum.”

Mercy Aigbe did not disclose the circumstances or the exact date of her mother’s death.

The announcement triggered an outpouring of condolences from fans, colleagues, and friends in the entertainment industry.

Actress Iyabo Ojo extended her sympathies by writing: “So sorry ore, may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

Dayo Amusa also sent condolences, addressing Mercy Aigbe as “Agbeke” and offering her sincere sympathies.

Similarly, Motilola expressed sorrow and offered her condolences to the actress.
