Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, the Nigerian content creator popularly known as Mandy Kiss, has cancelled her plan to attempt a Guinness World Record (GWR) by having sex with 100 men in 24 hours.
In a fresh Instagram post, the skit maker said the entire scheme was a hoax designed to generate social media engagement.
The controversy began on Monday when Mandy Kiss promoted the planned event for October 30 in Ikorodu, Lagos, to her large online following.
But on Tuesday, Guinness World Records issued a terse statement distancing itself from the planned attempt, saying “This is not a record we monitor”.
The announcement quickly drew severe criticism, including a reported letter from Akintunde Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu kingdom in Ogun state.
The traditional ruler urged Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to get Mandy arrested, describing the proposed attempt as “disgraceful, dangerous,” and an “embarrassment” to her community and country.
He also demanded the event be stopped, citing “moral risks to Nigerian youths,” and called for the content creator to undergo a drug test and psychiatric evaluation.
In the wake of the criticism, Mandy Kiss used her Instagram page to retract the announcement.
She admitted the plan was never real and was merely a stunt to attract attention and increase her online engagement.
“I am playing. Why arrest me? What happened? How much do I have in my account? I do not have money to pay lawyer. I cannot write statement I am just playing. I am only catching cruise,” she said.
“I just said I should check it if I still have some glory left. When I saw that everything was dry, I said I should do that if I can get some engagement. I am only looking for how to survive.
“Please have mercy on me Nigerians. I can not sleep with 100 men. Do not take me to prison. It is just bragging. I can never do that. I will die if I try it. I cannot even sleep with three men and survive it. Please, my parents do not have money.”
