Luciano Spalletti has reached an agreement to become the new Juventus manager.

Spalletti would take over after Igor Tudor was sacked on Monday by the club amid eight-game winless streak.

The deal will run until June 2026, with an option to extend for additional years.

After months away from club management following his successful spell with Napoli – where he delivered a historic Serie A title, Spalletti is now set to take charge of the Bianconeri in a new era for the Turin giants

Tudor’s last match was a 1-0 loss to Lazio on Sunday leaving the side in eight in Serie A and nine point off league leaders Napoli.

The loss to Lazio followed 2-0 defeat in the league against Como and a 1-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League, having followed up three wins at the start of the season with a run of five straight draws.

Spalletti is out to work after being sacked as Italy national team coach in June following a dramatic defeat to Norway in World Cup qualifying.

The Italian tactician had previously overseen the team’s exit in the round-of-16 at Euro 2024.

“Juventus are great club with great history.

“Everyone would gladly coach Juventus”, he said on Tuesday.

The 66-year-old is experienced in serie A, having had two spells in charge of both Udinese and Roma, and has also coached Napoli, Inter Milan, Ancona, Veenezuia, Sampodoria and Empoli in a managerial career spanning more than three decades.
