She said operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department apprehended the suspect on Friday at about 9:40 a.m.

Adebisi noted the suspect’s image had earlier gone viral after several victims reported his alleged crimes on social media.

She said the arrest followed directives from Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, who ordered detectives to track down the suspect.

A red Toyota Corolla with registration JJJ 226 HT, allegedly used for the offences, was recovered and secured as evidence. The suspect is currently in police custody.

Adebisi said investigations were ongoing to identify and arrest other suspects believed to be involved.

She urged additional victims to report to the State CID in Panti, assuring their identities would be protected.

Adebisi added that CP Jimoh reaffirmed the command’s commitment to securing justice for survivors and ensuring public safety.

The police command, she said, remains resolute in protecting residents and pursuing justice for victims.

She said further updates would be provided as the investigation progresses, describing the arrest as a major breakthrough in the fight against violent and sexual crimes.
