U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed deep outrage over the continued attacks on Christians in Nigeria, describing the situation as a “horrible massacre” allegedly carried out by radical Islamists.

In a strongly worded statement, Trump declared that Nigeria should be designated a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) under U.S. law a classification reserved for nations that commit or tolerate severe violations of religious freedom.

“Christianity is facing a threat in Nigeria thousands and thousands are being killed,” Trump said. “Radical Islamists are responsible for this manslaughter. When Christians or any search group are slaughtered like this, something has to be done.”

Trump further disclosed that he had asked the U.S. Congress, alongside West Virginia Treasurer Riley Moore, to immediately investigate the matter and report back “without delay.”

“The United States cannot stand by such atrocities happening in Nigeria and other countries,” he said. “We stand ready, willing, and able to save our great Christian population around the world. The killing of Christians is not going to happen.”

Trump went on to issue a stern warning, suggesting possible U.S. military intervention if the situation persists.

“We’re going to do things to Nigeria that Nigeria is not going to be happy about and may very well go into that now disgraced country, guns are blazing, to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump stated. “I’m hereby instructing our department of war to prepare for possible action. If we att@ck, it will be fast, viscous, and sweet just like the terr+rist our cherished Christians.”

Trump’s remarks have drawn global attention, with analysts warning that such statements could strain U.S. Nigeria relations and heighten tensions amid ongoing calls for international intervention over religious persecution in the country.
