A Federal High Court in Lagos on Thursday granted ₦50 million bail to Lagos socialite and nightclub owner Mike Nwalie, popularly known as Pretty Mike, following his arraignment over alleged drug-related offences.
ThemomentNG reports that Pretty Mike, owner of Proxy Lagos Night Club, was arraigned alongside the club’s supervisor, Joachim Hillary, 32, by the Federal Government through the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
The defendants were brought before Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, unlawful possession of drugs, and permitting the use of the nightclub for drug activities.
NDLEA prosecutor, Buhari Abdullahi, informed the court that the alleged offences took place on or about October 26, 2025, at the club located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to the anti-drug agency, the duo conspired to organise a drug party at the nightclub, where operatives allegedly recovered:
200 grams of Cannabis Sativa
177 cylinders of Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) weighing 364.662 kilograms
Abdullahi said Hillary was found in possession of Cannabis Sativa a day earlier, on October 25, 2025.
Pretty Mike, 45, was accused of knowingly allowing his club premises to be used for illicit drug activity.
The prosecutor stated that the offences violated Sections 14(b) and 20(1)(c) and were punishable under Sections 20(2)(b) and 12 of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30, Laws of the Federation, 2004.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty.
