Osun APC governorship aspirant, Oyebamiji donates N2m to PWD

An aspirant vying for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Aug. 8, 2026, Osun governorship election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Oyebamiji, has donated N2 million to persons with disabilities association.

Oyebamiji, Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), made the donation on Thursday at the anniversary of Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD), Ile-Ife chapter.

The anniversary was held at Oba Okunade Sijuwade Memorial City Hall, Enuwa Ile-Ife.

The NIWA boss, represented by Mr Timothy Owoeye, a former Speaker of Osun House of Assembly, promised to pay particular attention to the people living with disabilities in the state if elected.

Speaking at the event, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, while rejoicing with JONAPWD on this year’s anniversary, appreciated them for their roles in the society.

Ooni, who was represented by Mr. Ade Olaoluwa, promised to always give helping hands to JONAPWD.

Speaking, Prophet Elijah Fagbule of the Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oke-Atan, Ile-Ife, urged JONAPWD members to always encourage themselves.

The Cleric represented by Mr Paul Olanrewaju, charged them to continue to have a strong and abiding faith in God.

Rev. Canon Leye Onitiju of Obawole’s Chapel, Anglican Communion, Bishop’s Court, Parakin, Ile-Ife said that God has never forgotten people with disabilities as they are doing well in all spheres of life.
