The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr Danladi Jatau, has stated his commitment to empowering youths and women in his constituency and the state at large.
He said this was aimed at making them self-reliant and capable of contributing positively to national development.
The speaker stated this on Wednesday after receiving an Award of Excellence from the ECWA Women Fellowship, Keffi DCC, in recognition of his purposeful leadership.
Jatau assured his constituents of his continued determination to improve their standard of living.
He expressed appreciation to the ECWA Women Fellowship for finding him worthy of the award and reaffirmed his support for the association’s success.
The speaker urged the women and the public to continue praying for him, Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other leaders at all levels for success.
He also encouraged the women and people of the state to live in unity and coexist peacefully with one another.
Earlier, Mrs Esther Wabi, Leader of the ECWA Women Fellowship, Keffi DCC, stated that the award was in recognition of the speaker’s exemplary leadership.
“We are here to present the Award of Excellence to our illustrious son, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, in appreciation of his good work,” she said.
Wabi also commended the speaker for his achievements and assured him of the association’s continuous support and prayers.
