Governor Eno disclosed that the hope of realizing the much-anticipated Ibom Deep Sea Port is intact as the necessary documentation processes are ongoing for the commencement of the project.

“We will very soon start the Ibom Deep Sea Port. It is a long process. Documentation takes much time. Processes of canvassing for suitable and competent investors are ongoing.

“The Federal Government is ready, and we are working the talk. Let our people be patient and rest assured that the project will soon be a delightful reality for our common good,” he said.

The Governor appreciated the massive reception and support accorded him by his people and party faithful, pledging to bring more development to the area.

He announced that his administration will construct a dual carriageway from Nung Udoe to East West Road, Nung Udoe to Afaha Nsit, and from Afaha Offiong to Itreto, and charged the people to align with the APC, assuring that the State has progressively moved to the centre for the overall benefit of all.

Earlier, the Chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, Hon. Alfred Charles, welcomed Governor Umo Eno to the meeting and described it as a homecoming for the Governor while commending him for his impactful leadership as evident in the series of developments put in place in the Local Government Area and the State in general.

Also, the Chapter Chairman of APC, Hon. Johnson Udoka, thanked God for turning things around for good in the State for the party and for the people by elevating their status.

On their parts, the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Obareki; political leader of Uyo Senatorial District, Senator Effiong Bob; Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Captain Iniobong Ekong; Member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency, Hon. Otobong Bob; Obong Umanah Okon Umanah, among others, appreciated Governor Eno for his visionary and inclusive leadership that has greatly translated to enormous developmental strides across the State.

The event was graced by members of the State Executive Council, political stalwarts, captains of industry, and a cross section of Nsit Ubium people.
