Sowore re-elected AAC National Chairman

The Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has been re-elected as the National Chairman of the  African Action Congress (AAC).

Sources understands that Sowore was re-elected alongside new members of the National Working Committee (NEC) at the National Convention of the AAC held on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

The event was attended by party delegates, stakeholders, media representatives, and observers from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Participants reaffirmed AAC’s determination to challenge the status quo and usher in a political order founded on justice, social equity, and people-centered governance.

The newly elected National Working Committee includes: Comrade Omoyele Sowore, National Chairman; Pastor Sam Ajeigbe, Deputy National Chairman (Admin); Enefa Georgewill, Deputy National Chairman (South-South); Chioma Ifemeludike, Deputy National Chairman (South-East); Lijofi Victor, Deputy National Chairman (South-West); and John Nicodemus, Deputy National Chairman (North-East).

Others are Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghens, National Secretary; Kunle Ajayi, Deputy National Secretary; Abdullahi Usman, Organizing National Secretary; Erupre Gift Precious, National Treasurer; Faith Enattah Orinya, National Financial Secretary; Rex Elanu, National Publicity Secretary; Barr. Haruna Garba Magashi, National Auditor; Inibehe Effiong, National Legal Adviser; Orawusi Imanah Abosade, National Women Leader and Yahaya Muhammad, National Youth Leader.

Speaking after his re-election, Sowore reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to justice and the dismantling of oppressive systems that fuel poverty and insecurity.

He emphasized that the convention was not just a statutory exercise but a practical demonstration of what genuine democratic participation should look like in a country yearning for credible leadership.

“AAC will usher in a new Nigeria,” Sowore declared, reaffirming the party’s ideological foundation and long-term vision for national transformation.

The convention was conducted by the AAC National Convention Planning Committee, chaired by Kayode Babayomi, with Ambassador Umar Y. Abubakar serving as Secretary.
