Gov. Mbah appoints 2 new Commissioners, Board Chairmen, others

Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State has approved the appointment of two new commissioners, Board Chairmen, Executive Secretaries, and senior officials into various positions in the state.

This is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Wednesday in Enugu.

According to Onyia, the Commissioners-Designate are Mr Osinachi Nnajieze and Dr Charles Egumgbe.

Other are Kenechukwu Nnamani as Managing Director, Enugu State Investment Development Authority (ENSIDA), James Mbah, Executive Secretary, Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loans Board.

Also included are Dr Eric Oluedo, Executive Secretary, Local Government Staff Pensions Board, Mrs Sylvia Onwubuemeli, Executive Secretary, Enugu State Library Board, Monday Ani, State Coordinator, Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA).

Onyia added that Mbah also approved the reconstitution of the Governing Board of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB).

The members are Afam Nnaji, Dr Uche Eze and Dr Oge Uka while Mrs Rita Chimaobi Ihemeje, representative, Enugu West Senatorial District and Mrs Justina Ugwu, representative, Enugu North Senatorial District.

Others are Dr Nnenna Ogbonna, representative, Enugu East Senatorial District, Theophilus Nweke, representative, Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Mrs Juliet Ani, representative, State Women Group and Dr Luke Ohabuenyi Ezema, Secretary

The SSG equally stated that Dr Nneka Onyebuchi, Patrick Onwe were appointed members of the Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB).

Others are Nwabueze Ugwu as Chairman, Governing Council, Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET) and Chief Nwabueze Nnamani, Board Chairman, Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (ESHDC).

Also in the list are  Richard Onaga, Managing Director, Enugu State Waste Management Agency (ESWAMA), Bob Itanyi, Managing Director, Enugu State Transport Company (ENTRACO), Richard Agu, Board Chairman, Enugu Air.

The list also include Uchenna Igwesi , Board Chairman, New Enugu Smart City Development Authority, Chika Igwesi, Chairman, Enugu State Road Maintenance and Development Agency and Chidera Odo, Chairman, Enugu State Roads Fund.

Among them also are Manfred Nzekwe, Executive Secretary, Enugu State Roads Fund, Dr John Egbo, Managing Director, Enugu East Zone Transport Terminals, Prince Emeka Mamah, Managing Director, Enugu North Zone Transport Terminals and Rev. Chimaobi Aninwene – Member, Enugu State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board

Onyia said that the names of the Commissioners-Designate had been forwarded to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation, while all other appointments take effect immediately.
