Leading the PRP National delegation, Mr Wolimoh Olajide, the party National Youth Leader and Chairman of the Congresses, said that the  congresses marked a milestone in the party’s reorganisation process ahead of 2027.

Olajide, who commended the peaceful conduct of party delegates, described the process as transparent and democratic.

“This process and conduct of every delegate reflects the core values upon which the PRP is founded.

“Today, our ward and local government executives, who will pilot the affairs of our party, have emerged through consensus.

“We appeal to them to work  hard to sell PRP and its ideals to people at the grassroots.

“We are very sure that the future is bright for the party in Lagos State with the crop of these new  party leaders,” Olajide said

According to him, the momentum from these congresses will strengthen PRP drive to unseat the ruling party, both at the state and federal level, in  2027.

“Lagos residents and Nigerians are yearning for a credible alternative, and PRP represents that alternative,” Olajide added.

Also speaking, Mr James Adesina, the State PRP Chairman, said the success of the congresses demonstrated the party’s strong grassroots structure and readiness to compete effectively in future elections.

“PRP is focused on restoring governance to the people, and building a Lagos that works for traders, artisans, professionals, youth, and the vulnerable.

“This (congress) marks  a significant milestone in the ongoing repositioning of the party as a true alternative platform for the people of Lagos,” Adesina said.
.
He added that the party is  promoting transparent leadership, accountability, and empowering youth and women as key drivers of development.

Adesina said PRP would  strengthen its grassroots structure from ward to state level, embark on aggressive membership ahead of 2027.

“The core values of PRP are justice, equity, accountability, and people-orientated governance.

“This clearly shows that PRP is not just a party of history, but a party of the future.

“Our plan to take over Lagos and make PRP a formidable party that will lead the people’s right and make them enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of the new executives, Ms Damilare Raji, the elected Ikorodu LGA PRP chairperson, urged party members to be united and  promote the party.

Raji urged eligible residents of the state to present themselves for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) of INEC to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

“We should get our PVC ready because 2027 is going to decide our future once again, without PVC, you  do not have a  voice,” he said.
