The entire Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the leadership of Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, and indeed the good people of Zamfara State, have joyfully congratulated Senator Abdulaziz Yari on his turbaning with the traditional title of the first Obaloyin of Yorubaland and Oyo kingdom by His Royal Majesty the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade.
The royal title was conferred prestigiously on our distinguished party leader and a proud son of Zamfara State, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, on Sunday, 21 December 2025.
This revered honour could not have come at a better time than now, when Nigeria is showcasing its best leaders to the rest of the world.
The mammoth crowd that trooped to the city of Ibadan from all walks of life to witness the Alaafin of Oyo process the rites of the gracious title is a testimony that Senator Yari received it with eminence and most deservedly.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari is among the respected leaders in Zamfara because of his honesty, sincerity and total devotion to Allah’s commandments, and his philanthropic gestures to the people of Zamfara and beyond are one of the reasons we ask God Almighty to continue to elevate him in all his human endeavours.
As contained in a statement by Comrade Yusuf Idris Gusau, the party’s Publicity Secretary, the APC in Zamfara is proud of Senator Yari and appreciates his role in standing firm for the success of the party in the state.
We are therefore using the APC machinery to wish the multi-title recipient and bearer of Obaloyin the best as he begins to pilot the affairs of his new office in Yorubaland, which has now made him a complete circle title holder in Nigeria.
May Allah continue to elevate you as you continue to touch the lives of individuals and communities in Zamfara State in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
