He said that the suspect, a resident of Auta Balefi, Karu LGA, was arrested following credible intelligence on the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle.

Nansel said that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, alongside two other accomplices currently at large, allegedly attacked and robbed the driver of the vehicle at gunpoint at Wuse Bridge, before stealing the car.

He said that police operatives swung into action after receiving information on the movement of the stolen vehicle, leading to a coordinated manhunt and its subsequent trace to an area behind the International Market in Karu.

The PPRO said that upon sighting the police, occupants of the vehicle attempted to escape, but one of them was chased and arrested.

He said that the suspect has confessed to the crime.

The PRO said that the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shettima Mohammed, had commended the operatives for their professionalism and swift response.

Nansel further said that the CP has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect and the recovered exhibit, to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, for further investigation and necessary action.
