AFCON 2025: Cameroon edges South Africa 2–1 to reach quarter-finals

Cameroon withstood early pressure before defeating South Africa 2–1 to secure a quarter-final spot at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Sunday in Rabat.

South Africa dominated the opening 30 minutes, pressing aggressively and creating chances, but Cameroon goalkeeper Devis Epassy kept the Indomitable Lions in the contest.

Cameroon will face hosts Morocco in the quarter-finals on Friday at the Stade Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
