Nollywood Actor, Timini Egbuson loses father

Popular Nollywood actor and producer, Timini Egbuson, has announced the death of his father.

The actor shared the sad news in an emotional post on Instagram on Sunday, writing: “Didn’t think I’ll start the year saying this … Rest in peace Dad. So much left unsaid, but I’ll keep making you proud.”

The post immediately drew an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry, with many offering prayers and words of comfort.

Timini, known for his versatility on screen, has featured in several Nollywood films and television series and has also made his mark as a producer. Over the years, he has built a strong fan base nationwide.

He is not the only entertainer in the Egbuson family. His elder sister, Dakore Egbuson Akande, is a respected and award-winning actress in Nollywood.

Fans of both Timini and Dakore took to social media to express sympathy, while fellow actors, producers and media personalities also flooded the comment section with condolence messages.

Although Timini did not disclose details about his father’s age or the cause of death, his tribute reflected deep grief as well as a resolve to honour his father’s memory.
