Senegal has become the first country to advance to the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
This comes after their close 1-0 victory over 10-man Mali on Friday evening.
The Teranga Lions’ Iliman Ndiaye scored the game’s only goal in the 27th minute.
Yves Bissouma was sent off in added time of the first half, to give Mali a huge mountain to climb.
But Senegal failed to make their numerical advantage count more after the break, as there were no further goals.
They will now take on either Egypt or Ivory Coast for a place in the AFCON final.
