The deceased, Obele Theophilus, his wife, children, and a brother-in-law reportedly went to bed on Saturday, January 10, 2026, but never woke up.

Neighbours said concern grew on Sunday morning (yesterday), January 11, when the family’s door remained locked as of 10:00 a.m.

After repeated knocks received no response, neighbours forced the door open and discovered the lifeless bodies.

The man and children were found on the bed, the wife in the bathroom, while the brother-in-law was found close to the door, suggesting he may have tried to open the door.

The cause of death remains unknown as of the time of filing this report, and authorities are yet to release an official statement. Investigations are expected to begin.
