Web summit Qatar startup programme sells out ahead of 2026 event

The startup programme for Web Summit Qatar 2026 has officially sold out, with more than 1,600 startups from across the globe confirmed to participate in the highly anticipated technology event scheduled for February 1–4 in Doha.

In a press release issued on January 11, 2026, organisers said the event floor has also reached full capacity, with several leading global companies already signed on as partners. They include IBM, TikTok, Microsoft, Huawei, Qatar Airways, and Snapchat, among others.

The organisers noted that ticket demand continues to rise rapidly, adding that the entire event is expected to sell out in the coming weeks.

Doha to host thousands of global tech leaders

Web Summit Qatar will return to Doha for its third edition, further reinforcing Qatar’s growing reputation as a major technology and innovation hub in the Middle East. The event will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) and is expected to attract more than 30,000 attendees from over 120 countries.

According to the organisers, more than 700 investors and 600 members of the global media will also attend, creating one of the largest gatherings of entrepreneurs, policymakers, and tech leaders in the region.

Focus on AI, fintech, health and climate innovation

This year’s programme will place strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and its growing influence across industries such as healthcare, energy, finance, manufacturing and creative media.

The event will also feature discussions on how technology can help address global challenges including financial inequality, healthcare access and climate change, in line with Web Summit’s mission of fostering real-world impact through innovation .

Other key themes to be explored include quantum computing, fintech innovation, clean energy, digital governance and the future of sports technology.

Organisers express excitement over record interest

Reacting to the sellout, a Web Summit spokesperson described the level of interest as unprecedented.

“We’re delighted to see an extraordinary level of demand for Web Summit Qatar 2026, particularly from startups that represent the future of technology,” the spokesperson said.

“Web Summit has always been the place where you meet the next decade’s most influential people, and our unique mix of founders, investors and leaders makes it a powerful platform for driving economic and technological progress,” the spokesperson added.

High-profile speakers and curated meetups

The 2026 edition will feature high-profile speakers from the worlds of technology, business, government, media and culture. Attendees will also benefit from curated meetups designed to foster meaningful connections, powered by Web Summit’s proprietary networking software.

From Lisbon to Doha, Vancouver, and Rio de Janeiro, Web Summit has grown into one of the world’s largest technology event series, bringing together innovators and decision-makers shaping the future of the global digital economy.
