Premier Cool, Nigeria’s most established personal care brands under PZ Cussons and PalmPay, has launched a nationwide consumer promotion that reflects this shift, positioning cash rewards as both a marketing tool and a form of household relief.

The campaign, tagged “10K for 10K,” will distribute N100 million in instant cash rewards between January 12 and April 11, 2026. In partnership with digital bank PalmPay, the promotion will reward 10,000 consumers with N10,000 each, paid directly into PalmPay wallets, with 111 winners selected daily.

The strategy comes as Nigerian consumers remain highly price-sensitive despite signs of macroeconomic stabilisation. While inflation has begun to ease, real incomes remain under pressure, forcing brands to find ways to deliver value without deep price cuts that could erode margins.

Oghale Elueni, PZ Cussons Africa managing director, said the promo was designed to ease financial pressure for households while strengthening brand loyalty.

“This is our way of refreshing Nigerians, emotionally and financially, with a brand they already know and trust,” he said.

For PalmPay, the partnership highlights how fintechs are embedding themselves into everyday consumer spending. Rewards are paid instantly into digital wallets, encouraging adoption, transaction frequency and data generation. New users will also receive welcome bonuses of up to N5,550, reinforcing PalmPay’s push to convert promotions into long-term banking relationships.

For Chika Nwosu, PalmPay’s Nigeria managing director, the collaboration reflects a focus on smarter banking that supports daily living.
