Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has said that no political party will be able to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Abba, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the statement in Yola, Adamawa State, after receiving his party membership card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area. He explained that his move to the APC was driven by his desire to support what he described as the administration’s wide-ranging economic and human development reforms.

He stressed that President Tinubu’s performance has earned him the backing of many Nigerians. According to Abba, the President is fair in his leadership style and does not base appointments on ethnic or religious considerations but on merit. He added that Tinubu’s record in infrastructure and human capital development inspired his decision.

Abba also called on Nigerians to rally behind the President, urging people across party lines to support the administration in order to sustain ongoing projects and policies.

Meanwhile, Adamu Atiku, another son of the former vice president, remains in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and serves as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development in Adamawa State under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is reportedly considering a presidential bid under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), although none of his sons currently belongs to the party.
