A dramatic scene played out at an Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, as Mariam Alagbede tearfully pleaded with her husband not to divorce her.

“I don’t want divorce. Please sir, help me beg him to forgive me for any wrong I might have done,” Mariam told the court, stressing that she remains committed to the marriage and is willing to do anything to restore peace.
