Bukayo Saka has become the highest-paid player at Arsenal after signing a new five-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2031.
The England international has agreed a deal worth more than £300,000 per week, highlighting his status as the cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s project.
Negotiations over fresh terms had been progressing for nearly a year, with Saka verbally committing his future to the club in January before finalising the agreement.
Bukayo Saka, 24, is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s most decisive attackers. By placing him at the top of the wage structure, Arsenal have made a clear statement about who they see as the face of their present and future.
The winger’s previous contract, signed in 2023, was set to run until 2027. This extension not only secures his services well into the next decade but also rewards his consistent influence on the pitch.
Saka has registered seven goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season, continuing to deliver in high-pressure moments.
Arsenal’s decision comes at a pivotal stage of the campaign. The Gunners sit four points clear at the summit of the Premier League and are preparing for an EFL Cup final showdown against Manchester City in March. They have also reached the knockout rounds of the Champions League and advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The club have moved decisively to tie down key figures, with William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly also signing long-term deals.
