Kevin Blak, the Nigerian skit maker, says he rejected an alleged invitation to join President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The content creator, known for his sharp mimicry and social commentary, shared the development in a clip posted to his Instagram page.
In the video, he read aloud a direct message he claimed to have received, which urged him to lend his platform to support the president.
Born Kevin Chinedu Arua, Blak, who has over 450,000 Instagram followers, however, restated his commitment to critiquing governance rather than championing partisan politics.
“You see the kind of videos that I post, and you have the mind to come and tell me to join the campaign for Tinubu. I would read some of the messages, and it is quite disturbing for me,” he said while questioning the audacity of the approach.
“I have been watching your content. Please sir, you are not impressing me. You are only using your content to fight my leader, President Tinubu. I just want to let you know that President Tinubu is bigger than mere comedy sessions,” he said while reading from the alleged message.
The content creator, also known as Governor Amuneke, went on to articulate that his creative mission transcends any single political figure or party.
His work, he explained, is driven by a Pan-African vision aimed at advocating for good governance across the continent.
“My content is bigger than Tinubu. It is bigger than Nigeria. It is for the entire Africa — for a better Africa. Politically, for us to know what we are supposed to do. That’s what gave birth to the kind of content I do,” he said.
The content creator emphasised that his role as a commentator is not tied to an election cycle or a political party.
“Even after Tinubu, we would still be here to address things. Even if things get better, you would still see me address the loopholes. So, it is beyond you. It is beyond the APC,” he said.
