The National Sports Commission has begun moves to block Favour Ofili from competing for Turkey at the LA 2028 Olympics.
According to a top NSC official, Ofili was among the elite athletes who received training grants of $20,000 in 2025. As a result, the Commission is seeking to extend her waiting period beyond the standard 3 years from her last appearance for Nigeria, requesting that it run until September 2028, after the conclusion of the Olympics.
