Gov. Muhammadu-Inuwa Yahaya has assured President Bola Tinubu that All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Gombe State will work for his re-election in 2027.

Yahaya gave the assurance during the party’s local government congress in Gombe Local Government Area on Saturday.

He said President Tinubu had provided effective leadership to Nigeria and the APC, boosting membership and strengthening unity within the party.

The governor said: “With the unity shown during these congresses, our fortune in 2027 is bright.

“I want to thank President Bola Tinubu for providing effective leadership to Nigeria and to the APC. Gradually, we are heading to the coast.

“By God’s grace, with Mr President’s leadership, we are confident that in 2027 we shall deliver APC from top to bottom.

“Gombe State is fully aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda and we shall work hard to deliver against all odds.”

Yahaya said the rancour-free congresses reflected strong unity at the state level.

“We are absolutely confident that we will remain strong and united,” he said.

He commended the Ward and Local Government Congress Committee for ensuring a fair and peaceful exercise.

“With the conclusion of the congresses, we now have our leaders at ward and local government levels,” he stated.

The Chairman of the Congress Committee from the party’s national headquarters, Dr Danjuma Dabo, said the exercise followed prescribed guidelines.

“We can confirm that everything has been done according to procedures. We have all the ward congress results with us.

“For the local government congresses, our representatives monitored proceedings, and from feedback received, everything is going according to plan.”

Dabo later conducted a voice affirmation for the 27 elected local government officials in Gombe LGA and thanked stakeholders for a peaceful process.
