According to him, the items comprised millet, guinea corn, maize, and rice.

He listed the beneficiaries to include orphans, vulnerable women and children, especially the victims of the security challenges.

“Other beneficiaries include the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), people with special needs, youths, and Islamic scholars.

“This gesture will cover all the 14 local government areas of the Zamfara.

“I want to call on the distribution committees at all levels to ensure justice, transparency and accountability,” Jaji added.

The lawmaker urged the beneficiaries to use the food items properly, saying, “this is not for sale, I therefore cautioned you against selling these items.”

He appealed to political office holders and well-to-do individuals in the state to assist the less-privileged families in the Holy month of Ramadan.
