The Nigerian healthcare community is in mourning following the sudden passing of Dr. Bello Suleiman, former Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina.
Dr. Suleiman, a respected paediatrician, succumbed to a brief illness on Saturday, leaving a void in the medical field.
The Committee of Chief Medical Directors and Medical Directors of Federal Tertiary Hospitals in Nigeria (CCMDFTH) has expressed shock and grief over his demise, hailing Dr. Suleiman as a “colossus in the medical field” and a “consummate leader” who dedicated his life to transforming healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
“His contributions to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, and the Nigerian health sector were immeasurable,” the CCMDFTH stated.
“He displayed exceptional dedication, integrity, and passion for service, leaving behind an untainted record of service that will continue to inspire generations yet unborn.”
The Committee extends its heartfelt condolences to Dr. Suleiman’s family, colleagues, and the Nigerian Medical Association, praying for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
