The historic film is co-produced by ace thespians Jamie Patricof, Adeyinka Oduniyi, Rachel Halilej, Samira Mohammed and Katie McNeill, amongst others, with legendary Nollywood actress Joke Silva as the executive producer.

The documentary follows four mothers in Chibok as they navigate grief, uncertainty, and survival for over  a decade after their daughters were abducted.

The film captures their daily lives — tending farms, caring for their families, and sustaining hope in the face of an unimaginable loss.

According to the producers, ‘Mothers of Chibok’ does not have a traditional acting cast, as it features real mothers from Chibok whose lives the film follows.

The key women featured include Yana Galang, Lydia Yama, Ladi Lawan and Maryam Maiyanga ,mothers whose daughters were kidnapped.

These women’s stories and daily lives are at the centre of the documentary, showing their resilience and efforts to support their families long after the 2014 Boko Haram abductions.

The documentary has already garnered attention on the international festival circuit, drawing accolades for its restrained yet emotionally stirring narrative approach.
