Former gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel David Ombugadu (Davematics), has resigned his membership of the party after a month-long speculation.

Ombugadu, also a former two-term member of the House of Representatives, made this known in a letter addressed to the chairman of the party in his Ikka Wangibi ward of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area.

According to the letter, dated Saturday February 28, 2026, the decision was prompted by the lingering party’s internal conflicts and leadership tussle.
