Man allegedly caught trying to hide girlfriend’s body in car boot in Ibadan

According to eyewitnesses, a man was allegedly seen trying to force the body of a young woman into the boot of his car, a 2007 Toyota Corolla

Residents say the suspect suddenly noticed neighbours still outside because of the heat and immediately dropped the body on the ground before speeding off

Locals revealed that earlier in the day, they had seen the man and the woman enter the house together

P0lice later arrived at the scene and recovered the body of the victim, identified as Precious, said to be a resident of the Akobo community

Reports also say the house where the incident allegedly happened was left scattered and a hammer was discovered on the floor

The suspect has been identified by locals as Muhammad Quadri, reportedly a former student of The Polytechnic Ibadan and an ex-member of the National Youth Service Corps

Sources within the community claim the couple had been in a toxic relationship before the tragic incident

Authorities are yet to release an official statement, as investigations are currently ongoing.
