This marks a major step in the party’s efforts to expand participation and strengthen its organisational structure across the country.

The unveiling ceremony was done in Abuja on Monday, led by the National Leader of the party, Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson, with the National Chairman, Sen. Cleopas Moses and other party leaders and stakeholders.

Dickson said that the introduction of the digital platform represented a significant move to modernise the party’s operations and encourage wider political participation among Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora.

He said that the platform would make it easier for Nigerians to register as members of the party from any part of the country while ensuring proper documentation and effective management of membership records.

Dickson, who represents Bayelsa West Senatorial District, thanked Nigerians from across the country for the support and encouragement shown to the party since its emergence.

He said that many citizens had expressed readiness to join the new political movement.

“Although the party is only weeks old, it has already began attracting significant attention and support across the country, ” he said.

According to him, the NDC is structured as a pan-Nigerian democratic movement with experienced political operatives already coordinating activities across states, local government areas and wards.

“We are a national party. We are a pan-Nigerian democratic movement. We are not a regional movement,” Dickson said.

The lawmaker said that the digital registration system would be complemented by manual registration forms to ensure inclusiveness, particularly for citizens in rural communities who may not have access to digital tools.

He said that the printed forms would be distributed through state, local government and ward officials to assist those who are unable to register online.

Dickson expressed confidence that the party would meet the registration requirements in spite of the limited time available.

Commenting on the current political climate in the country, Dickson said many Nigerians were increasingly dissatisfied with the status quo and were searching for credible alternatives.

“Nigerians are angry with the status quo, they are also hungry, and they are hungry for change,” he sai

He further described the party as a fresh and crisis-free political movement focused on ideological politics and national development.

“The NDC is available as the tool for effecting the change Nigerians want,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the party, Sen. Cleopas Moses, said the digital membership portal would make it easier for Nigerians to join the party and participate in its activities.

According to him, NDC embraces the digitisation of the membership registration process which will promote transparency, accountability and inclusiveness within the party while expanding its grassroots presence across the country.

He said that the registration platform would strengthen the party’s mobilisation drive and help build a broad membership base ahead of future political engagements.

themomentng reports that NDC is one of the two new political parties recently registered by INEC.
