Nigerian singer Simi has announced the arrival of her second child with her husband, Adekunle Gold.
themomentng reports that the music star made the announcement on Wednesday evening through her Instagram page, where she posted a short message confirming the new addition to their family.
She revealed the baby arrived on the 10th of March and expressed gratitude, while also noting that she is now a mother of two.
She wrote: “+1. 3.10.26. God bless my little family 🤎 #Mommyof2″
Simi and Adekunle Gold have built a strong relationship over the years, both in music and family life.
The couple first met at an event where Simi was performing, while Adekunle Gold had already been a fan of her music before they became close.
Their relationship later grew into a romantic one around 2014 after a period of friendship.
After dating for several years, they got married in a private ceremony in January 2019, keeping their relationship largely away from the public eye until then.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Adejare, in May 2020.
In other news, Simi, has opened up on the health challenges she faced while working on her latest song, ‘Where You Dey,’ featuring Chike.
Speaking via her X account, Simi disclosed that she had planned on releasing the song last year but could not because of her health.
