Lagos State League gets April 21 date

The 2025/2026 season of the Lagos State League will kick off April 21 at designated centres across the state in both the Atlantic and Mainland conferences in the male and female category of the tournament with only the star match scheduled for the openig day of 21st April.

According to the league’s Chief Operating Officer, Musbau Oseni, a seminar has been scheduled for all the participating teams on April 10 as well as a press conference and the draw for the tournament all fixed for that day.

The COO informed that the participants at the seminar will be educated on medical, insurance, refereeing, and Management/Social media

A total of 20 teams will feature in the male category this year as against 14 clubs last season.

The teams will be divided into two groups of 10 teams, each in the Atlantic and Mainland conferences.

The female category was also increased this year from 12 teams to 16 teams, which will also be divided into two groups of 8 teams each in both the Atlantic and Mainland conferences.

Arubinjaga emerged champions in the male category last season, 2024/2025, while CATS Ladies were the crowned champions in the female category.

Meanwhile, respective teams should please take note and ensure they send their representatives for the event to avoid sanctions.

The League body wishes all teams the best of luck.
